Hey! Thanks for visitinG

This is me circa 1990.

Four... maybe five-ish.

And yes, I know what you’re thinking.

Why on earth did I choose writing over fashion when I clearly had exceptional style from a early age? A turtleneck skivvy paired with a Ninja Turtles jumper and gold chain — iconic.

My Story

I may have been a young fashionista, but I was not a natural reader.

Spelling didn't come easy. I mixed up letters, read words backwards and was even tested for dyslexia.

But I loved telling stories. Whether I was writing in my diary, recording ‘radio shows’ on cassette tapes, or making homemade magazines, I was never short of a story.

Someone once said I had "a vivid (sometimes warped) imagination" and "a way with words."  That stuck. And it gave me the confidence to pursue a writing career.

I went on to study journalism and public relations,  building a PR and marketing career that I absolutely love. I've written all kinds of stories for all kinds of brands but somewhere along the way, I stopped writing for myself.

Then, during the Christmas holidays of 2024, I had a story idea for my five-year-old daughter.

It was about a magpie.

I texted my high school bestie (and insanely talented artist) Miranda Scherger about a possible collaboration… and the rest is history.

Since writing Margo the Magpie’s Wish, the stories have kept coming!

I’m excited to share them with the world and hopefully inspire little people to become lifelong storybook lovers.
