Hey! Thanks for visiting.

This is me circa 1990.

Four... maybe five-ish.

And yes, I know what you’re thinking.

Why did I choose writing over fashion when I clearly had exceptional style from a young age?

A turtleneck skivvy paired with a Ninja Turtles jumper — iconic.

My Story

I may have been a young fashionista, but I was not a natural reader.

I struggled with spelling, mixed letters up and was even tested for dyslexia after reading words backwards.

But I loved books and telling stories!

People (especially my mum!) said I had "a vivid, sometimes warped, imagination" and "a way

with words."

From as young as I can remember, I dreamed of having a creative writing career in some shape or form.

I went on to study journalism and public relations, and built a PR and marketing career that I love.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped writing for myself.

Then, during the Christmas holidays of 2024, I had a book idea for my five-year-old daughter.

It was about a magpie.

I texted my high school bestie (and insanely talented artist) Miranda Scherger about a possible collaboration… and the rest is history.

Since writing Margo the Magpie’s Wish, the stories keep coming!

I’m excited to share them with the world and, hopefully, help little readers become lifelong book lovers.
